Colombo :
Without any doubt a colonial city, which was invaded
by Portuguese, Dutch and then the British. The British was in total
power of the entire country except for Kandy.
They developed the plantation sector and expanded the transport
system with roads and rail tracks to bring goods in to Colombo.
With the improvement of commerce, Colombo became the main harbor,
and the capital city.
A city tour in Colombo will take you through the ancient footprints
to the city center, full of colonial buildings known as fort which
is Colombo 01, Pettah Colombo 10 is the trading place in town,
Colombo 07 is the famous residential area.
The Colombo museum, Town hall, Hindu and Buddhist Temples, ancient
Churches, The Dutch museum, Independence hall and the famous Zoo
are among the places of interest in Colombo.
