Day 1
Airport/Negombo
Arrival and transfer to Negombo.

Afternoon
City tour of Negombo known as the countries biggest catholic town and the largest fishing village in the western part of the Island. Visit the fish market and other places of interest.
Return to the hotel.

Day 2
Negombo/Yapahuwa/Anuradhapura
Leave after breakfast for Anuradhapura en-route visit Yapahuwa the ancient temple.

Afternoon
Visit the countries oldest city A'pura, dating back to 5th Century BC Covered by vegetation. Discover the ancient ruins, beautiful man made lakes, Monkeys and birds.
Overnight in Anuradhpura.

Day 3
Anuradhapura/Mihintale/Aukana/Medirigiriya/Polonnaruwa
Leave after breakfast for Mihintale, the place where Buddhism was introduced to the country. Climb the 1880 steps and see the ruins of the 3rd century BC. The full moon in the month of June is called Poson. Which commemorates the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka.

Afternoon
Proceed to Aukana to see one of the most beautiful Buddha statues, Carved out of a rock 23 meters high, belonging to the 5th century AC. En- route you will cross the Kalawewa dam which is one of the largest manmade tanks of the same century
Visit Medirigiriya magnificent circular building built to house stone carved Buddha statues. Belonging to the 8th century, which is similar to the statues in Polonnaruwa

Day 4
Polonnaruwa/ Elephant ride/ Sigiriya /Dambulla
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa to visit the Medieval capital of the country well known for its rock carved Buddha statues known As the Gal Viharaya and visit the old temples which are marvellous examples of Buddhist and Hindu culture.
One-hour elephant ride across the village and in the jungle of Habarana.

Afternoon
Climb Sigiriya, 5th century AC Lion Rock, world famous for its historical Frescos and for its wonderful water gardens.
Sigiriya, today is one of the world heritage sites. Considered to be the 8th wonder of the world. Proceed to the hotel

Day 5
Dambulla/Matale/Kandy
After breakfast leave to visit the Dambulla rock temple, 1st century BC also called as the Golden rock temple.
En-route visit Nalanda Gedige which is another hybrid of Buddhist and Hindu architecture, visit a spice garden with a local cookery demonstration, where you could enjoy the taste and aroma of the World famous spices since the early days.

Afternoon
Visit a Hindu temple in Matale.
Arrive in Kandy late evening

Day 6
Kandy
Leave after breakfast for a city tour of Kandy, visit the city center, market area, Kandy museum & Botanical gardens

Afternoon
Visit the Temple of the Tooth relic and witness a Sri Lankan traditional dance. Proceed to the hotel.

Day 7
Kandy/Historical Temples/Pinnawala
Leave after breakfast for Pinnawala. En-route visit the ancient temples around Kandy, namely Lankathilaka, Gadaladeniya and Embekka which belongs to the Kandyan period, are known for the Hindu and Buddhist architecture and for its magnificent wood carvings fond in the Embekka temple.

Afternoon
Visit the Pinnawala unique Elephant orphanage, which was created to protect little elephants that were abandoned by their parents due to various reasons. Best time to visit the orphanage is, the time of feeding & bathing.
Return to the hotel.

Day 8
Kandy/Nuwara-eliya
Leave after breakfast for Nuwara-eliya by road, en-route to the world famous tea plantations, Waterfalls and vegetable cultivations and the terraced paddy fields.
Apart from the number of photo stops do not forget to stop at a tea factory to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea.

Afternoon
Walk around to discover the town with its colonial architecture, beautiful Parks and the city center, Return to the hotel

Day 9
Nuwara-eliya/Horton plains/Bandarawela or Ella
Lave after breakfast for Horton plains by Jeep and walk in the National park. Proceed to Bandarawela or Ella and discover the surrounding areas.

Day 10
Bandarawela or Ella/Udawalawa or YALA
After breakfast proceed to Udawalawa or Yala. Arrive in time for a safari by jeeps. You will spend about 3 hours in one of the national park of your choice. Proceed to the hotel.

Day 11
Udawalawa or YALA/Galle
Leave after breakfast for Galle, and visit the famous fortress and the city of Galle overnight stay in Galle

Day 12
Beach - Bentota, Beruawla or Kalutara.
After breakfast leave towards the beach for relaxation. Possible visits, to a mask museum in Ambalangoda, Balapiriya river safari, visit a turtle hatchery at Kosgoda Arrive at hotel

Day 13
Beach - Free on the Beach

Day 14
Departure according to the flight schedule
